2014 Week of Prayer for North American Missions Day 5

"And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."  Matthew 13:23

This week is the week of prayer for North American Missions.  Each day we are presenting a North American Missionary for you to add to your prayer list.

Jose and Mayra Nater
Primera Iglesia Bautista Cambridge
106 Martin Dr.
Hurlock, MD 21643
Jose's Birthday: September 1
Mayra's Birthday: July 30
Children: Josean and Joam
Home country: Puerto Rico

Jose is a church planter and pastor of two Hispanic congregations in Maryland and one Hispanic congregation in Delaware.  Native to Puerto Rico, Jose was pursuing a successful career in the hotel business until a career-advancing move to Cambridge, Md., changed his life.  Jose would find himself jobless, homeless and desperate for God’s provision.  He learned God was in control of his life – not himself – and dedicated himself to serving the Lord.  The Naters started a church with just four people – Jose, his wife and two sons.  Three years later, they planted a second church and then three years after that, another church.  Now a Church Planting Center, Jose is leading his church to develop leaders and strategies to continue the church multiplication process.

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the Lord to confirm the calling for ministry in the lives of several leaders already seeking their place in the Kingdom.
2. Pray for physical and spiritual strength in the battle, because the enemy is not happy, and his attacks are more frequent and more furious as we advance.
3. Pray for wisdom and unity as we grow in numbers.

Scripture to Claim:
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14
