Now,
our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. I Chronicles 29:13
There are not enough words
to say all I’m thankful for. As I look
around and see so many friends and family who are hurting, I am becoming more
and more thankful for ordinary days.
While it’s easy to take things for granted I try to remind myself that
not everyone gets to enjoy every day, ordinary blessings.
The fact that I am able to
wake up, walk up stairs, work out (not that I do it every day but I CAN!), eat
breakfast with my family, and go to a job that I love are wonderful
blessings. The fact that I have a
husband who I love and loves me back and a beautiful growing daughter are more
than I deserve. The fact that we can
breathe, walk, go to school and work, and come home to each other are blessings
that not everyone enjoys.
We are at a busy time in
our lives with church, school, and other activities, but it is important to
take time and be thankful that we are ABLE to be busy! I know there are so many who would love to be
busy but aren’t able. As this time of
year gets crazy, it is important to remember that it is a privilege to be
involved in the crazy!
Blessings don’t have to
come in grand packages – sometimes they come in ordinary days!
Thanks,
