Your Life Matters (Part 3)

Jeremiah 1:4-10
God sent Jeremiah a letter when he was about 20 years old. What God said to Jeremiah may help us to better understand what He has in mind for our lives.

I.     God is Invested in Us

A. God has a Purpose for the Life He Has Given Us. – v.5b-c

B. God will Enable us to Fulfill our Life’s Purpose. - v.7-8

II.     God's Peculiar Purpose in Our Lives...

C. May be character changing.  Jacob  Genesis 32:24-28

D. May be bigger than you think you can handle.  Moses
Exodus 3:10-11

E. May not be heard by others.  Samuel  I Samuel 3:9-11

F. May not be understood by others.  Mary  Luke 1:30- 32

G. May cause redirection of your whole life. Paul   Acts 9:4-6

H. Will be completed in God’s Time.  Philippians 1:6

III. God has a Name For You

Don't be afraid to let the God who made you run your life.

Example: Giving What We Have Received -  Acts 3:1-10
"What I do have I give to you" spoken to the man in need at the gate is the result of a progression.
I.      The Beginning of Ministry – Surrender to God
Spoken by man to God it is personal and total commitment.
WHAT GOD DOES NOT POSSESS HE CANNOT CONTROL
AND WHAT HE DOES NOT CONTROL HE CANNOT USE.
II.     The Power of Ministry – Receiving from God
Spoken by God to man it is a powerful promise.
Man says to God, "Here is all I have." God says to man, "Here is all I Am."
God is not interested in merely taking our lives but exchanging lives.  Galatians 2:20
III.   The Exercise of Ministry – Sharing with Others
Spoken by man to man it is sharing.

The greatest gift the Christian possesses is his personal knowledge of God.  John 9:25
