Ephesians 6:10-18

When it comes to battleing giants, there is something every believer must be aware of…JESUS defeated Satan - YOU did not.  To fight him in the flesh is to assure defeat.  We need the power and the armor of God. 

  I.    The Battleground of Spiritual Warfare Ephesians 6:11-12

The method of the enemy’s attack is described in verse 11 as schemes.

The Real Battle Is Not With People!

It’s not people!  It’s Satan!  The issue is not “them” but the misunderstanding, the greed, the power, the hate, the jealousy…the devil!

You can’t win a battle against a spiritual force with fleshly or earthly power. 

II.    The Preparation for Spiritual Warfare Ephesians 6:13

Readiness is key to victory. 

The secret to withstanding the assault of the devil is in proper preparation.

III.    God’s Field Dress for the Christian Warrior 
Ephesians 6:14-17

Belt of Truth: “God secure me with your unchangeable truth!”

Breastplate of Righteousness: “God hide me in your righteousness and protect my heart eternally.” 

Sandals of Peace: “I am ready to stand in peace and share the peace bought on Calvary!”

Shield of Faith: “I hold high my faith and trust in your protection!”

Helmet of Salvation: “I receive the adornment and protection of Your eternal salvation!”

The Sword of the Spirit: “I take your Word as my weapon against evil!” 

  IV.    Engaging the Armor of God Through Prayer
Ephesians 6:18

We put on the Armor of God through prayer!
