2014 Week of Prayer for North American Missions Day 3

Firmly Planted...Rooted in the Gospel

"And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."  Matthew 13:23

This week is the week of prayer for North American Missions.  Each day we are presenting a North American Missionary for you add to your prayer list.

Patrick is a church planter and pastor of Kingdom Covenant Baptist Church and works with the Florida Baptist Convention's Urban Impact Ministries Team in Miami.  He assists churches in spreading the gospel through starting and growing new African-American and multicultural congregations.  His grandfather, Joe Coats, was long-time pastor in Miami and one of the first African-American pastors to lead his church to be a cooperating Southern Baptist congregation.  Patrick believes that his grandfather’s leadership inspired him in his ministry journey and now he is paying that investment forward.

Prayer Requests:
1. The Homestead/Miami area in general is a very unique area because of the great amount of cultural diversity. It is our prayer and hope that God will continue to open doors for relationships and gospel presentation.

2. Pray for my family and our spiritual growth on our journey as church planting missionaries

 Scripture to Claim:
He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:6
