Living Worthy of the Gospel

Living Worthy of the Gospel

Philippians 1:1-11

The book of Philippians is a letter, written by the apostle Paul, that displays his personal affection for a church he started in the city of Philippi. The book of Philippians highlights for believers what a mature man, woman, and church looks like who lives worthy of the Gospel.

 I.     The Origin Of A Spiritually Healthy Church

II.     The Ingredients Of A Spiritually Healthy Church

·  A Love that Bounds with Knowledge and Discernment

Divine Love — God as the source

Existing Love—Love that God has already placed in us

Purposeful Love—Love expressed through action

The love of God must be regulated by the knowledge of scripture.

·  The Ability to Approve What is Excellent

The idea is to be able to set a proper value on things.

·  Purity and Blamelessness

Integrity is when every part of your life and everything in your life is related to your belief - that’s purity.

·  Filled with the Fruit of Righteousness

The fruit of righteousness is produced through our relationship with Christ

·  All Things Given to the Glory and Praise of God
