Faith Is…(Part 3)

Hebrews 11:1
Volumes have been written about the power of faith in the life of a believer. It’s possible to possess faith and yet never exercise it to develop it in our lives.  Let’s take a hard look at what faith really is.
·      Faith is not trusting circumstancesbut the God of those circumstances.
·      Faith is not trusting the power of belief.
·      Faith is not the absenceof fear but the overcomingof fear.Psalms 56:3 KJV
Obedienceto the revealed word of God is required to transform an intellectualfaith into a life-changing faith.
You can’t stay in controland walk in faith.  Faith is being God-controlled.
Don’t make the mistake of believing that a scholarof scripture or a theologianis a person of great faith.
Faith is not a mentalact or an emotion; it is a function of the HolySpiritacting upon the spiritof man to interact with the Spiritof God.
Spiritual faith has been replaced with human reasonand senses as the highest level of reality.
Christian faith operates in the realm of meaning, not in the realm of fact.
Honest doubt exercisesand increasespersonal faith.
Faith in God can make us comfortable with ambiguityParadoxesdon’t scare us anymore.
