“A Prayer For Restoration”
Psalm 51:1-15 (CSB)
Key Truth: “God is deserving of our worship in every circumstance of life.”
Main Question: How can we take steps toward spiritual recovery for God to do His work in our lives again?
1. Confess And Come Clean. (Psalm 51:1-5)
2. Ask For And Receive God’s Forgiveness. (Psalm 51:6-9)
3. Request A Fresh Work Of God’s Grace. (Psalm 51:10-12)
4. Decide To Use Past Failure For Future Ministry. (Psalm 51:13-15)
After the Message: Let’s humbly pray like David each day in Psalm 139: “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24). Let’s pray this with openness to the Spirit’s searching work.
Let’s be open, humble, teachable, and sensitive to the Spirit and his conviction, producing in a hatred for sin and deeper love for the Lord of mercy, Jesus Christ.
