Thank God and Take Courage

Thank God and Take Courage

Acts 28:11-15

Why does God make us wait? In our time together today, we will look at how the Apostle Paul took encouragement from those in his life, and encouraged others to do so as well while they were waiting on the promises of God to be fulfilled.

  I.    There Is Often A Gap Of Time Between The Promise Of God And His Performance Of The Promise.

·         To Produce Endurance

v  God’s desire is to change you more than your situation.

·         To Prepare Us For The Blessing

v  Waiting on the Lord is worth every minute, hour, day, week, month or year it takes.

v  What was God’s means of encouraging Paul? He used other believers.

God is known generationally in the context of what He has done in the lives of those who have gone before us.

Jesus entered into the work of God that was currently active at that place and time.

·         We are part of a work that is bigger than ourselves.

·         We are part of a work that calls for unity.

v  The way we treat each other is a mirror image of our relationship with God.

v  You will find it impossible to embrace the joy of Heaven; if you fail to have love for people from every nation, tribe, and language.
