Love Perfected

 Thursday, December 15, 2022

No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:12

Love Perfected

We cannot see God, but we know He is real. When we love one another, God remains in us and His love is perfected in us – something we could never do on our own. Love is the greatest evidence of God’s presence and work among us. Some believe His works of power are the greatest evidence but there is no greater power than that of love. Love will always be a part of where God is and what He is doing.

There are many people in our lives that are hard to love. Thank goodness that when we have God in us, His love is perfected in us. He can love those hard to love people through us because His love is perfect. When that perfect love flows through us to them, they can feel the love of God coming from us. His presence in our lives, and our relationship with Him will be evident to everyone and will show in our love for others.

The abiding presence of God’s love in our lives and passing that love on to others marks us as His own. By our love for others, we will be known as belonging to Him. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. – John 13:35

Walking in this love perfected in us, we can go into the worst circumstances and bring His love with us. We can love unconditionally and sacrificially all in His power. We can show grace and forgiveness through this love. We can share this love with the most unlovable people – who really need it the most. All this is possible, not in our own power, through Him alone.

This love has changed our lives as His children, and we need to pass it out to those who may have never experienced it. The hard people that you show love to – this perfected love in Jesus Christ – they may never have seen this love before. You may be the only example of God’s love they will see. It is important for us to die to self in this way so we can show God’s love to others.

Loving someone with this love really means laying down our personal preferences for a greater purpose. There is no greater love than to SURRENDER to God’s call and SACRIFICE yourself to “love one another.”

If we say we BELONG to God, born of Him and know Him, then we must love one another.

But that love shouldn’t stay here in Parker County, TX. God’s love is bigger than that. It should go with you every day, WHEREVER you go. It’s for the whole world!

God’s “love plan” for the world is FULFILLED when believers
LIVE it and SHARE it (JESUS) with others.

And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4:21
