Word

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.  Psalm 19:7-10

The STATUTES of the Lord are RIGHT, REJOICING the heart.  v. 9
STATUTES - precepts, rules of moral conduct, guidelines for living.
ARE RIGHT - equal. Just in themselves regardless of who set them.  Many a man who has not discovered a relationship with God has found a meaningful life by living in accordance with the precepts of His Word.  The morality of the Bible brings fullness to men.
REJOICING THE HEART - bringing Joy to life.  How many lives are filled with despair and fear because of direct transgression of God's direction for living.  Much joy belongs to the person who can receive and obey the desire of God for men.
The COMMANDMENT of the Lord is PURE, ENLIGHTENING the eyes.  v. 10
COMMANDMENT - The directed truth of God for men.  These are the demands of God for men to follow which come directly from His nature.  These are the unquestionable demands of God for men.
IS PURE - bright, giving light, not mixed with selfish motive or gain.  The commandments of God are merely the basics for relationship with Him.  They do not vary because He is the same always.
ENLIGHTENING THE EYES – guidance, revealing, giving light to those who receive them.  Some refuse to accept the revelation of God and attempt to construct their own concept. The commandments of God display who He is and open the door for relationship to Him.
The guidelines and directions appointed by God are Just and equal (not just because God gave them!) and bring joy to those who follow them. The commands of God are not mere counsel, but issue from His person.  As such, they are free from selfish motive and have no variance. They will illumine the way for every disciple.
Our Heavenly Father is a just God.  He is fair and equal, and His word brings meaning and joy into our lives. He wants good things for us.  When we follow His direction, we find our hearts and lives full of joy.  His commandments for us are not to restrict us, but to bring freedom to our lives.

Scripture to Claim:
Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:11
