Testing periods are part of the natural rhythm of a follower of Christ.
What God will use to grow your walk with Him and give endurance to your faith, Satan will use to try and tempt you by making you question, doubt, and walk away from God.
What if the leading of God challenges a forgotten or unrecognized idol in my heart?
The testing periods are where the forgotten idols of my heart are revealed, and I have a chance to surrenderthem and let them be shaped by God.

Challenges of Peter’s journey:
Who’s he walking with? What do they look like? The whole walk is a continuous decision of heart allegiance. Lead vs follow. Control vs trust.
God loves me too much to let the idols of my heart remain unexposed; so He will put me in positions to let me see them.
The space between the directive and his obedience → How much in my world is simply waiting on myobedience to what God has commanded?
Understanding often comes through obedience.
