“Noise” 

1 Kings 19:1-18 (CSB)

Key Truth: “Eliminating obstacles to faith clears a pathway to live The Jesus Way.”

- Sound- “A vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid.”

- Noise- “Anything that interferes with, slows down, or reduces the clarity or accuracy of a communication.”

Main Question: How do we respond to and push back against the noise in our lives so that we can clearly hear, discern, and know God’s voice and obey Him?

1.    Be where God wants you to be. (1 Kings 19:1-10)

- Noise can distort our vision of reality and impair our ability to discern the truth.

2.    Learn to recognize God’s voice. (1 Kings 19:11-12)

3.    Learn to obey God’s commands. (1 Kings 19:13-18)

After the Message: Read John 10:1-18; 22-30. What does it mean to hear Jesus’ voice and follow Him? What does it mean for Him to be the Shepherd and for you to be His sheep?
