Overflowing of a Grateful Heart
We are motivated to share the gospel out of thanksgiving to God. The Lord is our salvation (Isaiah 24:2), and He has turned away His anger from us and welcomed us into His family through Christ.
From the outpouring of our thankfulness is a desire for others to know His goodness as well. We proclaim, make known and declare who God is and what He has done because we understand—even if in small degrees—where we would be had He not intervened in our lives. With thankful hearts, we push past our insecurities, fears and people pleasing, and we share with our friends, neighbors and our one the greatest news we have ever heard, and they will ever hear.
We have total access to our Holy God because of the sacrifice of His Son, and that is something to be thankful for! Let this thankfulness well up and overflow to your one and others around you. Today, pray for the opportunity to share why you have a heart of gratitude for what God has done on your behalf. Pray that your one’s heart will be softened and open to what God has done for them and the salvation that is theirs if they only receive it. Pray that they would long for that relationship and power in their own lives.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” JOHN 14:6, CSB
God, I know there is only one way to salvation. Jesus is clear; He is the only hope for a lost and dying world, and that includes ______________. His/Her salvation depends on acknowledging Jesus is who He says He is, and He alone is the source of salvation. Use the people and circumstances in _______________’s life today to point him/her to the reality of Jesus. Give me courage and boldness to call ___________________ to faith in Jesus when the opportunity arises, and help me make it clear there is no other way to be saved.
