Gloria! He is Risen!

Monday, April 13, 2020
Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.  His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.”  Matthew 28:1-7

Read these wonderful words from Tricia Robinson on this day after the Lord’s resurrection and be blessed!

Each year during the week of Easter, I love thinking of the women and the disciple’s hearts when they realized Jesus was not dead.

He was alive. The life changing day. The angels told the women that Jesus had risen. Then “the women deep in wonder and full of joy lost no time in leaving the tomb. They ran to tell the disciples. “Matthew 28⠀⠀

These women were the very first to preach the Good News!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a culture where women did not have a voice, the women were the first ones to hear the angel and then share and preach with energetic hearts! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Jesus had given them a voice! And He knew this would happen! Jesus cared for them and wanted them to shine out His glory!  Gloria! ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I love to think of the women running as fast as they could to tell the disciples.
The world had changed.
Love overcame death.
Jesus is alive!
Gloria!!

I want to be like the Easter women. And want to carry that spark and joy. Jesus has given us a voice! I want to have that Easter spirit of “running” to share the Good and Wonderful News!

Jesus is our Rescuer. And He gives us the most beautiful gift - life! Abundant life!
- Tricia Robinson

Go like these Easter women and tell the world that He is alive and what He has done for you!  Gloria!
