Miracle Growth

II Peter 3:17-18
One of the most wonderful things in the entire world is birth.  It is a mystery that no one really understands.  But while birth is a wonder, if there were to be no growth after birth we would worry.  For people to be born and never to grow into maturity is a terrible waste.  Yet something like that happens in spiritual life all the time.
Spiritual Growth is important to the walk, welfare and witness of every believer.
The application of spiritual truth brings the full Christian experience and power.
What are some of the Elements of Spiritual Growth?

  I.     Spiritual Birth Initiates Spiritual Life

A good foundation is mandatory for construction of a powerful Christian life. I Corinthians 3:10-11; Hebrews 6:1-3

II.     Spiritual Growth is Fed by FAITH - Luke 17:3-5

God leads us to places where faith is required.

The same way we begin is the way that we continue.

III.     Spiritual Growth is Powered by PRAYER - Luke 11:1

Life is relationships!  Spiritual life is developed in relationship with God.

The difference in Christianity being a form and a force is the element of prayer.

IV.     Spiritual Growth is Tempered by TIME - James 1:2-4

God has to have time to reveal ourselves to us and then Himself to us.
The Legacy Milestones

V.     Spiritual Growth is Deepened by Dependency - II Corinthians 12:9

The spiritual life is not a life of pride or self-sufficiency but humility and dependency.

VI.     Spiritual Growth is Shaped by Service - Ephesians 4:11-16

There is only so much you can learn sitting and listening.  At some point you must become an apprentice…a disciple.
The end of all growth and the purpose of all blessing is service.
