Today

Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Mark 11:24

Today is the day when thousands of students across the world will join together in prayer at their flagpoles.  See You At the Pole was started 25 years ago in Burleson, Tx, and it has grown and extends worldwide.  Not only is today a special day, but all this week is Global Week of Student Prayer. This is hosted by the organizers of See You at the Pole.  Here are some prayer concerns you might be lead to lift up to our Heavenly Father:
Prayer List
·             Pray for Christian parents to model biblical values faithfully before their children and their friends.
·             Pray for nonchristian parents to encounter the Gospel and receive salvation through Jesus Christ.
·             Pray for parents struggling in their marriages to be reconciled and to work through and overcome their problems.
·             Pray for parents struggling financially to get out of debt.
·             Pray for parents with addictions to overcome the harmful behavior patterns that enslave them.
·             Pray for parents abusing their children to be convicted by the Holy Spirit and to end the abuse.
·             Pray for opportunities to disciple parents so that they may become workers to bring in the harvest among students worldwide.
·             Pray for parents to be faithful servants through the local church.
·             Pray for relationships between parents and students to be mended that are broken.
·             Pray for parents being persecuted for their Christian faith to endure for the sake of the Gospel.
·             Pray for everyone participating in this year's See You at the Pole event to be united in Christ.
You may not have school aged children or you may not have children at all.  That doesn’t mean you are excluded.  You don’t have to be a mother or father to pray for these kids.  Kids today need every bit of prayer we can throw up on their behalf.  The world today is not Christian friendly and it is getting harder and harder to take a stand.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will help them all have the boldness they need to keep standing together, keep meeting at the flagpole, and keep proclaiming Christ in this world that doesn’t care.
Other prayer concerns are:
·             That Pastors and youth ministers would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in regards to disciplining and evangelizing students
·             Pray for Bible teachers to faithfully teach the scriptures and answer questions
·             Pray for church leaders to model Godly behavior and be Godly role models for students.
·             Pray for workers to bring in the harvest among students worldwide.
·             Pray for churches and students to work together to accomplish the Great Commission.
This week as you pray, remember these things.  They are the leaders of tomorrow and they are facing a very different world than you and I knew. They need our prayers.
Scripture to Claim:
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
