Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be
diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and
consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation.
2 Peter 3:14a
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also
set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from
beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
There is nothing
more beautiful than the leaves changing in autumn. The rich colors are
definitely something to be admired. The vibrant yellows and oranges, and the deep
reds instantly make me think of what a wonderful and imaginative Creator we
have.
Something about
fall that I don’t often consider is that the leaves are dying. They were once
vibrant, alive, and growing, but now are losing life, and falling, but they
won’t always be like this.
Every one of us has
seasons of trial and hardship, but it is quite a beautiful thing to see just
how much God changes and forms us so that we can once again thrive. I challenge
you to rejoice in your brokenness and failures, knowing that God won’t allow
you to stay broken. He is preparing and cultivating you for better things. When
we repent and fully trust in the Lord, just like the leaves, our spring will
come.
Lord, help me to
see that in my brokenness and trials You are making me new. I know that you are
shaping and molding me and I believe the words of Ecclesiastes 3:11, that You
make everything beautiful in its time.
