Living In The Land Of The Giants
Numbers
14:9
We live in a land of giants where it seems we
have no power against them. They
demoralize us and steal from us the power and peace God promised. God did not save us for us to be defeated but
to show His power and bring glory to His name.
The question of the day is, “What is it that you see as a giant in your
life that cannot be defeated by God for His glory?”
“Grasshopper Complex” -
While they looked at the giants and at themselves, you can read nowhere where
they looked at God.
God did not save us for us
to be defeated, but to show His power and bring glory to His name.

How to Lose a Battle with a Giant
·
How many Christians today
realize their failings and then try to make up for them in fleshly activities
that only lead to more discouragement and defeat? This is the “self-help” theory of taking down
our giants.
II.
The Giants of Life Have a Common Purpose
·
A giant is something or
someone who you recognize to be stronger than you are in your natural
power.
·
They strike the heart with
impulses, jealousy, anger, pride, distortions and lies creating insecurity,
doubt, fear and hopelessness.
·
As result of our reluctance
to battle our giants, we find ourselves wandering around in a spiritual
wilderness of defeat, disappointment and disillusionment.
·
The giants of our lives may
well threaten the lives of our children.
·
God can save a nation
through the faithfulness of a few.
·
While I cannot destroy these
giants, God can enable me to stand before them and not let them steal what God
has given to me in my personal world!
