United By Our Beliefs Part 2
Ephesians 4:4-6
A living faith must experience a growing understanding of truth and must be continually interpreted and related to the needs of each new generation. The closer a church is in doctrine, the closer they are in fellowship and mission. We reaffirm our beliefs!
This I Believe about JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is fully God and fully man and the second person of the Trinity.
Jesus pre-existed in eternity before His entering the creation in the form of a man.
It was the precious blood of Christ that paid the price for our sin.
Jesus satisfied both the holy and righteous requirement of God.
Jesus left a will providing salvation to all who come into the family of faith!
This I Believe about THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, completely true and authoritative in all areas of faith and practice.
The Bible has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.
This I Believe about SALVATION
Salvation begins and ends with God and His purpose of grace.
Believers are saved and fully justified before their faith ever produces a righteous work.
Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus.
Justification is God’s gracious and full acquittal upon principles of His righteousness of all sinners who repent and believe in Christ.
Progressive Sanctification is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is grown into the image of Christ.
The basic underlying meaning of sanctification is consecration, or separation, unto God.
Glorification is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.
Security of the Believer - This is a combination of two great Biblical doctrines of the faith – Preservation of the Saints and Perseverance of the believer.
