“Joy”
John 15:9-11 (CSB)

Main Question: How do we experience the fruit of joy in our lives as the Holy Spirit forms it in us?
1. Joy is found in remaining. (vs. 9)
Whatever we “abide” in will determine the “fruit” of our lives.
2. Joy is found in obedience. (vs. 10)
- Kingdom obedience is kingdom abundance. - Dallas Willard The Divine Conspiracy
3. Joy is completed in Jesus. (vs. 11)
- As we abide and obey, the Holy Spirit grows the fruit of joy in the believer that supersedes any false imitation.
After the Message: Read John 15:1-8. Who is the vine, branch, and vinedresser in this passage? What happens to branches that don’t bear fruit? What happens to those that do? What is Jesus’ promise for those who abide in Him?
