Are you worried about your future? (part 2)
Many of us are worried. So many things going on our world give us reason to be concerned. What will our future be like? What about the future of our children and grandchildren? Thinking like this world, it will depress us, maybe scare us, but let’s think for a moment about how God can transform us and change the way we think. Let's think about the promises Scripture gives us which will help us step into the future with confidence. Here's a list of some of those promises, let them encourage and increase your faith.
* He's promised to always be with us."And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20, NLT)
* He says He will never leave us or forsake us."I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." (Hebrews 13:5, NLT)
* He's promised to meet our needs."And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19, NLT)
* He's promised to guide us."When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future." (John 16:13, NLT)
* He's promised us life to the fullest, if we will follow Him."The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (John 10:10, NLT)
* He's promised us a home in heaven if we will make Him the leader of our lives."I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again." (John 14:27-28, NLT)
What could God be telling us about the future through these verses? Today, think about what God has said rather than what the news reporter says! Pray for God's peace and assurance of His presence in your future.
