some 36 authors. The earliest Old Testament writings were set down
nearly 3500 years ago.
· Early manuscripts were written out
entirely in longhand by copyists called scribes.
· The Old Testament manuscripts were
originally written in Hebrew and Aramaic without vowels and or punctuation.
· The New Testament was written in Greek
during the last half of the first century A.D.
