Is There Any Other Way?

Mark 14:32-36
And they went to a place called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled. And he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch.” And going a little farther, he fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
I.     Gethsemane is where you go when there’s no place to go but to God.
·      A “Gethsemane” moment is a defining moment in the life of a
believer, when he or she mustchoosewhether
or not to surrender to God’s will.
·      Many times, we are only willing to submit to God when we
realize ourownwillhas caused our present
agony.
·      Suffering is not a sign that God is absent.
II.    More than Jesus Fearedthe cup of suffering, He Lovedthe Father who gave it to him
·      No one understoodthe sufferingof Jesus except the Father.
·      When you are truly secure in the Father, you will pray Hiswillbe done rather than demanding your own be enacted with His blessing.
III.   Your Strength is not found in how courageously you Suffer but in hou completely you Surrender.
·      Gethsemane is a place where only those who know their purposefind their strength.
·       Surrender in Gethsemane provides anointingfor your purpose.
·      God may not calm your storm, but He will calm your fearsin spite of the storm.
·     Many times, what seems like defeat to the human soul is really the victoryofHeaven
·      That which was lost in the Garden of Edenwill be reclaimed in the Garden of Paradise- all because of the Garden of Gethsemane
