I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you. Psalms 32:8
Where Abundant Life Can Be Found
Trusting God is an intentional, day by day act on our part. God will reveal His will as we trust and obey Him day by day. He does not give us all the information up front, nor does He give us a blueprint for our lives. Sometimes we may think there is no way that God could have possibly meant for us to end up on some of the paths we find ourselves on in life. But for reasons we may never know, God leads us down specific paths, and there is a reason for every path. The journey is what it is all about. Not the destination. If we focus too much on the destination, we will miss the best part of the trip. Trusting God with where we are and being open to what He is wanting us to learn is so important.
His will for us and the paths He leads us on promise adventure and abundant life. He does not desire for us to live hard and boring lives. He is for us and has more for us than we could ever imagine. When we trust Him we will find that joy filled abundant life. Although He does not reveal His will to us sometimes, He does want us to know his will. There is no greater joy or satisfaction than being in the center of God’s will – where abundant life happens.
He will equip us with everything we need to carry out His will and call on our lives. He will give us the gifts and skills needed as He provides new opportunities to do His will. Even when we fail Him, He still continues to provide opportunities. And no matter how many times we wander from His will, we are always welcome back. Even the most notable characters from the Bible failed in huge ways at times, and God still used them in mighty ways.
Even when we can’t see around the bend, and we don’t understand the twists and turns along the way, we can trust our Shepherd to guide us. He loves us and cares for us and wants all good things for us. He knows how the journey ends and what lies down the road and He has you in the palm of His hand.
But the path of righteousness is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18
