Deeper: Developing Spiritual Habits
“Fellowship”
1 Corinthians 13:1-8a (CSB)

 

- Spiritual Habits: “Spiritual habits are disciplines we put into our lives that place us in a position to hear from God and allow Him to take us deeper into life with Christ.”

- Key Truth: “The habits we form determine the people we become.”

Main Question: What are the characteristics of agapé love that help create and sustain the spiritual habit of fellowship?   

1.    Love bears all things.  (1 Corinthians 13:1-4a; 7a)

Key Word: Support

a.          Love is patient.

b.         Love is kind

 

2.    Love believes all things.  (1 Corinthians 13:4b-5a; 7b)

 

Key Word: Trust

a.          Love does not envy or boast.

b.          Love is not arrogant or rude

 

3.        Love hopes all things.  (1 Corinthians 13:5b; 7c)

 

Key Word: Future

a.          Love is not self-seeking.

b.         Love is not irritable and does not keep a record of wrongs

 

4.        Love endures all things.  (1 Corinthians 13:6; 7c-8a)

 

Key Word: Enduring

a.          Love finds no joy in unrighteousness.

b.         Love rejoices in the truth
