“The Doubtful”
Matthew 11:1-15 (CSB)
Key Truth: All are invited to come and see the truth found in Jesus.
Main Question: How can doubt actually lead us to greater faith in Jesus?
1. Doubt is a normal part of faith. (vs. 1-3)
Why do we doubt?
a. The lack of knowing or understanding God’s Word.
b. The battle between our will and God’s will.
c. We don’t see God moving in our circumstances.
d. The Headlight Principle- we can only see what is in front of us.
2. Doubt is answered in Jesus. (vs. 4-6)
3. Doubt does not disqualify us. (vs. 7-15)
How do you handle doubt?
a. List out your doubts or questions.
b. Pray about your doubt.
c. Get help.
d. Take a step of faith.
After the Message:
Read Matthew 11:1-15. When was the last time you doubted? What was the context and content of your doubt? Will you bring your doubts to Jesus, allowing Him to prove Himself true to you?
